Descriptions of the programs offered, program objectives, lengths of program and institutional calendars with program start and end dates: Program Description: HVAC This program was designed to train and develop competent and employable technicians for the Air Conditioning industry. This program contains the most essential and relevant knowledge that employer contractors require from the technicians they are going to hire or employ to be used in their new and existing hires. 

The content of the program includes: 

Installation, repair and maintenance of Air Conditioning units, testing of Air Conditioning units, troubleshooting, workplace safety, common industry tools, essential electrical elements, welding, making a vacuum, charging and recovering refrigerants, knowledge of the refrigeration cycle, important and critical concepts of thermodynamics, theory about the change of state. Students also receive a seminar to prepare them to take the EPA certification exam. Once the exam is passed, new technicians can be employed by contracting companies as certified service technicians.

 

Program Objective: ELECTRICITY

The goal of this entry-level training program is to prepare students for employment in the electrical field and begin the great journey of learning and knowledge that it requires. The program prepares the student with the skills to begin future work toward an eventual electrician license. Whether it’s planning, installation, or troubleshooting, you’ll be empowered to help your team through the daily challenges of the job. 

Program Description: 

This program gives you the training you need to start working as an entry-level assistant in the residential electrical field. Your future starts here. Our curriculum teaches you how to install, repair, and troubleshoot the most common electrical connections, fixtures, wiring, and equipment. Contains basic occupational safety principles, blueprint reading, common industry tools, essential electrical theory and application, common electrical wiring techniques, etc. It also prepares the student with an introductory knowledge of basic electrical codes and industry standards. Upon graduation from our program, the student should know that his employment will be limited to working as an assistant apprentice under the guidance of a master electrician who will help him grow and learn on his way to reaching the next level of his career: the official. License. Proof of this license requires several more years of on-the-job experience to qualify and achieve.

Program Objective:

 AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC 

At the end of the course, the student will be able to take the Automotive Mechanic exam offered by the Examining Board and be able to perform satisfactorily as an Automotive Mechanic under the supervision of a certified Automotive Technician.

Program Descriptions

This program is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to take the Automotive Mechanic exam offered by the Examining Board and to be able to practice the profession through the supervision of a duly authorized Automotive Technician. The following areas are studied: carburetion, internal combustion, automobile electrical and electronic system, front axle and transmission. The program provides academic training that integrates intellectual, technical, and human aspects and makes use of modern equipment and tools used in the profession.

Program Objective:

WELDING 

Train the student in welding techniques, types and methods, application of techniques in arc welding, choice of electrodes, position and different ways of welding parts. Application of acetylene welding techniques in different pieces to be welded, court.
 

Program Description:

Welding training is aimed at all people who wish to acquire the necessary skills for the manufacture, design, assembly and repair of metal and welded construction elements. These trainings offer knowledge related to the equipment, consumables and techniques of the welding process with coated electrode, MIG-MAG and TIG, among others. The breadth of the syllabus taught may vary depending on the level of difficulty and the degree of specialization of the course.
It is important to keep in mind that not all Welding courses are approved. In addition, there is regulated training that provides professional training to work as a welder.
 

ACADEMIC CALENDAR

Academic Program Enrollment Periods: HTTC uses a rolling admission method in scheduling our programs. The programs will end and begin depending on space and availability. Please check with the administrators for the next start date of the program you desire.
The courses that HTTC offers are semiannual, for this reason the dates for registration and planning the start and end of each one depends on the number of enrolled students.

Note: For the course, the student must acquire safety equipment for the welding class, $450.

Refund Policy 

For All Students the Following Refund Policy Will Apply: \ 1. Cancellation must be made in person or by certified mail. 2. All monies will be refunded if the school does not accept the applicant or if the student cancels within three (3) business days after signing the enrollment agreement and making initial payment. 3. Cancellation after the (3rd) business day, but before the first class, will result in a refund of all monies paid with the exception of the Registration Fee. 4. Cancellation after attendance has begun through 50% of the program will result in a prorated refund computed on the number of hours completed to the total program hours. 5. Cancellation after completing more than 50% of the program will result in no refund. 6. Termination date: The termination date for refund computation purposes is the last date of actual attendance by the student unless earlier notice is received. 7. Refund will be made within 30 days of termination or receipt of the cancellation notice.

A statement of the institution’s accreditation status with a U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting body. If no such accreditation exists, the institution must prominently state this in its advertising and published materials;

HISPANIC TRAINIG CENTER HTTC, is not accredited by a US Department of Education recognized accrediting body.

Statements regarding the transferability of a certificate to other institutions of higher education and the importance of consulting with institutions to which the student may seek to transfer;

A student may request an official credit transcript from HHTC to go to another institution, the transcript is sent by regular mail within five (5) work days. If the other institution requires it, HTTC will provide its Institutional Catalog which includes the description and objectives of the courses for all its programs of study. 

The transfer of credits received from HTTC to another institution is solely at the discretion of the accepting institution. No guarantee of transfer is made or implied by HTTC. Credits accepted by HTTC as transferred in do not affect Satisfactory Academic Progress (the student enrolled with credits transferred will be evaluated for academic progress made in the courses taken after the credits transfer has been approved and applied.

Transferred in has no cost and is performed during the admissions process. Credits accepted as transferred will be discounted from the total cost of the program. 

Evidence of articulation arrangements with institutional counterparts, when these arrangements exist; and.

Other material facts concerning the institution and the program or course of instruction as are likely to affect the decision of the student to enroll, together with any other information specified by the Board and defined in this Part.
